Shhhhh do you hear that……silence. The kids are finally back to school this morning and I can get back to work. The last two weeks have been fun with trips to Calgary, play dates, lots of new snow and no time to sit and do any work. On top of that our little kitten, Luna, ate a pipe cleaner resulting in surgery, and the subsequent revelation that she is allergic to suturing material. She is home now and almost fully healed. Never a dull moment around the cauldron.
Now onto the yarnie stuff.
First a big thank you to the Gillyhook Knitters from Calgary. I really enjoyed meeting all of you and having the opprotunity to share my yarn with you. I hope we can do it again sometime.
Next, welcome to April. As you have probably figured out things are a little behind around here. Over the next two days I’ll be prepping for Easter and Earth Day. The store clean up and newsletter will be the priority. And then there is the yarn. In celebration of Earth Day I’m introducing a new yarn called Gaia. Gaia is a fingering weight yarn made up of some of the finest fibers the earth has to offer….70% baby alpaca, 20% silk, and 10% cashmere. The dyes will be plant or insect based. A new adventure for me and a great new product for you. Come and check out the store on April 18th, 2011, at 0900 MST for this new and exciting yarn.
Now off for a tea refill and more work.
