Wow how quickly the seasons change. I spent the weekend making and fixing Halloween costumes for the boys so they could go to the first of many Halloween events taking place over the next week. I think we’re all good now so I can focus on yarn. I’m trying to knit up a quick scarf in Halloween colours to wear when I volunteer at the school next Monday morning. Halfway done, should have it all done soon, unless something else comes along.
More importantly, since I seem to have missed out on getting a table at any of the local fairs, I have time to get ready for a Fall Yarn Sale and Tea to be held on November 20, 2011, between 2 and 4 PM, at 3076 Meikle Ave, Kelowna. I’m looking forward to meeting local knitters and sharing a pot of tea while you browse the current hand dyed yarns. My favourite is the new Moon Magic Lace done in Ravenclaw Blue. At $34.00/100gm skein and over 800 m, this superwash merino, silk, and stellina blend is perfect for a Christmas party wrap or gift.
I look forward to meeting you soon,
