Currently in its developmental stage dyecauldron is the creative brain child of Cheryl Van Vliet-Brown. After completing university with a B.Sc. in Ecology and then a B.S.N. she worked as a Registered Nurse / Educator in the field of Oncology. During this time she dabbled in fibre arts such as needlework, knitting and quilting. After the birth of her first son she took an Introduction to Dyeing course through Maiwa Handprints in Vancouver, BC, and has been hooked ever since. The birth of her second son and a major life change, in the form of a move to the Canadian Rocky Mountains, brought a halt to the Nurse Educator career. During the last three years she has worked in both knitting and quilting stores and dabbled in the world of dyeing fibres for personal use. Now it is time to share some of her colourful products with the world.
